Greetings Threadheads,
Hope everyone is well, things are VERY busy here at Sound Advice. Just wanted to bring all y'all up to date on the latest addition to our roster, Glen David Andrews, as it is thanks to Threadhead Records that we will be recording his next cd. The live recording will happen on November 18th, at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in New Orleans. We'll have a full choir and members of the Andrews Family on horns, as well as organ and drums. I'll have more details as we get closer, but we encourage anyone who is in town to attend. It will probably be around 7:00pm.
We have also created a new website and myspace. Stop by and check it out, add yourself as a friend too. www.glendavidandrewsband.com and www.myspace.com/glendavidandrewsband. You can purchase a digital download of his last CD, Dumaine Street Blues, at either site too.
On the performance front, Glen will be at dba on Nov 6th, and starts a weekly residency there in Dec, every Monday at 10:00pm, a no cover, pass-the-bucket gig. Glen is also determined to keep the street music alive in New Orleans, so you will often find him in Jackson sq or in front of Cafe Du Monde, or second-lining through the Treme!
Thanks to all of you for your support, will keep you posted on any new developments here.
Red beans and ricely yours!
Kimball
PS: And I'm doing well, thanks to all who have been asking, through w/ treatments and now a "survivor" not a patient! :-)
