Once again we are putting on the Wednesdays on the Point series. :D
If you are in town, or live here, please come on ova and support us and see some great live, local music for free!

On Algiers Point, 5:30pm to 7:30pm:

We are planning on having another series this year. We put on 12 evenings last year with great musicians including Amanda Shaw, Paul Sanchez, Susan Cowsill, Marc Stone, Rick Trolsen, John Gros, and many others.
It was such a great success last year and we are real excited about the prospects of this year. We are talking to some really great acts.
We realized after we were done that filing for a 501c3 status would help us get some grants that are available to non-profits. This is not a quick process.
We are trying to procure sponsorships for this year as we did last year, but the recession has hit hard.
I'm asking everyone that I know if they know of anyone, or company, that would like to help sponsor a wonderful "grass roots" neighborhood music series.

Those were last year's....I can't divulge who we are talking to right now, but there are some great performers in discussion...
