Well. Orenthal is out on bail, and since sentencing isn't until Dec 2, that gives him almost two months to find the real killer.

My understanding is that the judge refused bail for him.

YES!!! I didn't hear that! I thought he was still out on bail! That slime would no doubt have left the country-I'm sure in order to continue his search for the real killer.

OJ finds their killer every morning when he looks in the mirror.

I love the fact that it was 13 years to the day since the last ridiculous verdict! I'll never forget how people were cheering and applauding ( at colleges too!) when this killer was found not guilty. Bottom line is that he had to live with himself all these years....I suppose a true psychopath has no conscience, so not sure if he even felt remorse. Who knows? I'd be surprised if he serves more than 18 months though.

A Las Vegas judge today sentenced fallen gridiron great O.J. Simpson to at least 15 years in prison for leading an armed hotel room confrontation over sports memorabilia in 2007. Simpson could become eligible for parole in about nine years. Earlier, an emotional Simpson apologized to the judge and said he did not know he was doing anything illegal. full story

I was just thinking the same thing. He got judged and sentenced by a white woman. The irony is off the charts.

For someone with no prior felony convictions, the sentence seems steep for the crime.
Just because the justice system failed twice is no reason to celebrate, IMO.

failed?...did the judge not sentence OJ within the sentencing guidelines
for this particular crime?

Did you see the SNL the week he was convicted? It was something like . . . "OJ Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery . . . but really, murder." It was funny . . .

I don't know Nevada law sentencing guidelines, papafrog. I'm just speaking from my gut. 33 years seems pretty steep for a property crime for a 1st time offender. People get out of jail after 16 years or less for manslaughter. A long time ago, one of my cousins was murdered by her husband. He was out in 20.
I'm not saying what Simpson did with the deal in Las Vegas was right. He should go to jail for it.
There was so much evidence from the murder trial that LAPD should have put someone behind bars. Justice was not served. I feel sorry for the Simpson children, the Brown family and the Goldman family.

Kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and armed robbery aren't property crimes though.
