Hi gang I just got homeafter checking Bud into the hospital today at 3AM for chest pains. He is resting and we are waiting for mor tests and the results. All they can tell us now is that his heart is working about 35% below normal and they don't know why.

I really wasn't going to post anything and then I got home tonight and realized how big and empty our house seems without him. It's just me the dog and one lonely cricket. It is funny how after 22 years of unwedded bliss you can start to trake each other for granted. So fellow THs never pass up the chance to tell the ones who matter that you love them.

I would appreciate some of that good old Threadhead karma Buds way tonight.

Bud is at the local hospital that both my daughter and soon to be son in law work as medical assistants so I know he is geting best attention from all there. They both work there on the night shift (they go to school for nursing durring the day) so someone was with him all through the night and reported back to me that he is doing good. Now the rest of the tests today and the results.

The cardiologist said he needs an angiogram to detrimin exactly why his heart is so weak and he will be transfered to another hospital on monday that specializes in caridac care. It could be a few things and we won't know exactly what the treatment will be untill after his tests. I will keep you posted.

Well it looks like Bud will be receiving a defibillator today. They did not find any blockages or clots. He will also be on medication. They think he must have been exposed to a virus that has weakened his heart.

It seems so strange because he doesn't smoke ,drink do any drugs, gets plenty of exercise,and doesn't eat red meat.

I'm just glad that he had some symptoms and they found the problem,otherwise he could have droped dead from a massive coronary.

This too shall passs. He wanted me to thank all of you for your kind thoughts and good karma wishes it means alot to him.

Is a defibrilator like a pacemaker... a lil mechanical thing they insert to kick in when the heart doesn't do what it's supposed to? Docs are so clever these days... they'll sort it for ya.
