Hey Katie! yes there is! Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. I have two extra tickets. Let me know if you can use them. Would be great to hang out with you at either or both of these!
Lit, I saw that show scheduled and would love to go. Have not seen Grace and the boys in quite some time. May catch them down in DC next month. Have fun!

At least you were out and didn't have to watch the Mets fail to score in the bottom of the ninth with a man on third and nobody out in a tie game!

yeah, that was crazy. Props to the fans who, literally weathered that game!

I had tickets for last night and couldn't go; my brother and his wife went instead. I was jealous at first, then sick. That crowd was punished with perhaps the worst loss since game 7 vs. the Cardinals a few years ago. Tonight's crowd, by contrast, was rewarded handsomely for their support. And it was great support, especially under the circumstances.
I love Murphy, but his two strike bunt (foul/out) was one of the stupidest things I've seen a Mets player do in a while--and that's saying something. I don't know what he was thinking.
Oh well, let's go Bucs, Cubs and Nats! And Mets!

That will be great for all of us to meet up prior to Galactic. There should be many of us!
DJ...I am hoping to find two tics for the game. I will let you know. If I don't find two I will go with ya. My friend would have to take off work if I were to score two tic's anyway...but still trying.

Earlier in the week BBs had this listed as a seated show; noticed they finally changed it to SRO. Can't imagine a seated PBS show! Or an 8pm start.
Johnny Sketch at Sullivan Hall tomorrow.

Thanks Cisco. I actually typed out an "I guess I was wrong" reply to my own post last night and then decided not to post it.
I was obviously hoping against hope, but I knew we were not long for the post-season if we were lucky enough to get in anyway with no closer, a bad 'pen and an offense that took too many innings and games off. I just wanted them to get into the playoffs, and they almost did. Oh well. Hey, ya gotta believe, right?
Hope you somehow had a good time at the game and ceremony nonetheless. I was thinking they might save themselves some money on the demolition costs and simply let the fans tear the place down after that lame performance. Too bad Santana couldn't go again on no days rest. And too bad that David Wright, for all his ability, went 0-4 and gave more support to the notion that he doesn't get it done in the clutch. They are calling him "D-Rod" on the FAN now. Classic.
Well, at least the Giants got elevated to sole possession of first place in the NFC East, with a bye week and losses by the Cowboys and Eagles (some extra satisfaction with the latter, given that the Phillies beat out the Mets again).

lit, my son and i are yankee fans first baseball fans second.
i had worked at shea part time for 14 years as well as yankee. we wanted to be able to say we saw the last games at shea and yankee, and we can say that now, so we did enjoy the day. closing ceremonies yesterday brought back reminders of all the time i had spent at shea while working and i enjoyed it. ceremonies were simple and heartwarming.
no bad mouthing the mets, they, just like the yankees didnt deserve to be in the playoffs, but dont tell gumbo i said that.

I didn't hear a thing, Jim lol
I am sports fan so I can certainly empathize with you, having watched the Boston Garden being torn down. So many great memories of games there as a kid and then taking my own kid there and watching him in amazement as he first saw the banners and felt the history of the old barn.
