Now that Tower Records is gone, has anyone heard if they'll be in-store-play's any place(s) other than LMF?

Is there still Virgin, or is that gone as well? There was a new store by the Square- I never made a show, but know Stynger was there for a few.
Hope there are more locations, or they better just put a keg at the door of LMF!

Virgin closed after Katrina. Last I heard Virgin had not reopened and has no plans to reopen in New Orleans.
Virgin is gone, never re-opened after the thing.
Good Rockin New Orleans, located in the alley net to the carhedral, opened in '05 and had a couple of in stores that year. They are open again. But it's pretty tiny, really better suited towards a book signing than a band playing.

The days of mofest at woldenberg park, just a couple blocks from LMF, should spread out the crowd.

Ya' wanna talk about intimate,.. the far better half and I were lucky enough to see both Davell Crawford and Ellis Marsalis at the Good Rockin'.. no band or accompaniment for either,.. just them and a piano... w/ but a few (and I mean few) of us in the store and the "pretty tiny" size of the store it was quite a unique experience... Maybe even a lil' too intimate,.. I couldn't believe there weren't more peeps there,.. but we felt very, very fortunate to have seen them UP CLOSE and live in such a venue.......
