These kids are fun to watch. From Cathead news:
- HOMEMADE JAMZ BLUES BAND: The Homemade Jamz Blues Band consists of three kids, aged nine, fourteen, and sixteen- two brothers and little sister-out of Tupelo, Mississippi. They make their own instruments. They got hooked on music listening to their dad's BB King's records. And man, they play the blues. Join Elwood this week on teh House of Blues Radio Hour as he sits down with the astonishing Homemade Jamz Blues Band, only the The House of Blues Radio Hour. These are the kids I raved about who were at the B B King and Leland Blues festivals. We loved them!

We saw them this summer right here in Vineland, at the Southern Shore Music Festival. They opened for Robert Hazard, and David Bromberg and the Angel Band... they were amazing. Hazard commented about how hard it was to follow them, he was in awe of the kids, Bromberg had them come up on the stage with him... even Dr John's drummer mentioned them, although he called them by the wrong name, everyone laughed... they weren't there when the kids took the stage, but with everyone talking about them it was hard not to pay attention, even if you didn't catch them, ya know?

They came in second and blew everyone away. I've seen them many times now; the last being Labor Day. Unfortunately, the CD isn't so good. It has too much parental influence. Sorry to be late responding, I've been up to eastern KY and WV for a few days.

I heard their music & interviews on Elwood's syndicated HOB show on KFOG Sunday night. Very cute stuff and made me want to take back some of my earlier rant about child prodigies in the music biz :)
