A friend asked me to do some research on this apparent unsung legend. Anybody knowledgeable enough about him to give me a recommendation on which cd would be best for her to start with?

Most of the "Best of" compilations out there contain the ten most important tracks. There are a couple that have some off-label material that digs deeper but leaves off the important ones. From what I can see the best one is "The Best of Amos Milburn, Down the Road Apiece" which contains the hits, but is comprised of 25 tracks.
