All Points West Fest

Was anyone there Sunday? Ben Harper was amazing!!!!!!!!! He saved the fest for me and my friends. I talked everyone into going and buying VIP tickets, BIG mistake! The VIP was a complete joke. The beer had to be finished before you could leave the penned in area that you bought them in. You could not even bring it into the VIP tent which was steps away, let alone anywhere near the stages. You were allowed 5 beers, You had to rip a tab off your bracelet, once your tabs were gone you were done. They have many kinks to work out if this fest is going to come back.
They did do a good job with the ferry service from Manhattan to Liberty Park. That could not have been easier, getting to and then back from was a breeze.
I only caught the end of Grace Potters set because she was up against Ben Harper but what I caught was good. She always has a high energy performance. Jack Johnson closed the fest with 2 plus hours, he had Matt Costa come on and they did "Sunshine" and Trey Anastasio also played with Jack on another song. It was fun to get to see him play so many songs that everyone seemed to know.
All in all I am glad I went, the music prevailed but I really expected a different experience. From the people I talked to they seemed to be saying much of the same.
