Wow...RIP. Loved him as that twisted store detective in Bad Santa.

That seems awfully young for them not to be able to handle the complications of pnemonia. Sad, RIP Bernie.

Bernie also suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease. He was hospitalized and very ill from it last year, I think. Pneumonia would be particularly hard for him to fight off. Very sad, so young, so funny, RIP Bernie.

This bummed me out SO much!!:(

The Ocean 11 movies (remakes) are some of my favorites & his show was great too. It's just so sad.

R.I.P Bernie

I mostly knew him from his TV show. Don't watch alot of TV anymore, but his show was one I made a point to watch. You know a person has made a good impact in life when news like this hits and you feel sad, but then you start to think about him or her and a smile creeps up on your face. I have a sad smile right now.

Bernie lived in my neck of the woods. The kids of the town he lived in always hit his house for Halloween candy...He had the good stuff. He was a guy that would wave when when people would yell "Hey Bernie Mac" when he was seen out and about. He was a guy that never forgot about where he came from.
