Ain't no way that this is true!
New Orleans isn't even in the top 5
Forbes mag must have been drinking when they put this together. A chance to be at the top of the list and we are denied  ;)

IT'S AN OUTRAGE I TELL YA! THEY MUST HAVE CONDUCTED THE SURVEY WHEN THE THREADHEADS WERN'T IN TOWN!
Article said:
To determine the cities with the highest alcohol consumption, we started by making a list of the 40 largest metropolitan statistical areas in the U.S.--geographic entities defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget for use by federal agencies in collecting, tabulating and publishing statistics.
Wikipedia says the N.O. MSA ranks #51.

So fear not, Rosetree, the problem is not that you aren't drinking enough; you just don't have enough residents. As soon as another 300K folks move back, you might just pop up at #1.

Sorry folks, tourists binging on Bourbon Street doesn't make it a drinking town. Milwaukee on the other hand.......
I'm shocked Milwaukee isn't # 1.

Not mentioning any place in particular, but if I lived in some of those places, I'd drink alot too!! ;)
Just that fact that bars in NY & NO are open 22 hours a day (by law ;)) shoulda put them on the list.
San Francisco?!?!?

San Fran doesn't make sense at all. Bars close too early there! I always drink way more in NOLA than SF! And Providence doesn't really make sense either now that the Evil Half lives in Florida . . . :)

But I was only half hour away when I lived in Boston haha...plus you have several colleges there..PC, Brown, Roger Williams, URI, Johnson and Wales all within the area...last I knew college kids liked beer ALMOST as much as I do. :p

True, and I suppose these stats are from a little while ago ;)
But San Fran? Really? Do you get that one? Maybe if it was top pot smoking cities!
