Hey everybody,

I'm just getting on the bored again after being gone for a while. I can't thank you guys enough for all of the support. To everyone who donated to my CD project, I don't even know what to say. I can't believe a group of people, many of whom I don't know or know that well, just came together out of the goodness of their hearts and helped me get my record on to the next phase. I'm sure that with all of the great projects that you guys are helping to fund, you're going to help give life to a lot of good music that is going to make a lot of people happy, music that you guys will hear on OZ and on the street and in the clubs and at the fests. And it's the most incredible way to support the artists directly. That's really cool, and I'm honored to be a part of what you guys are doing.
and to everyone who has come to shows, thrown me good vibes, dug what I'm doing in some way, just as many thanks to you. Without people out there to play for, and in today's reality without people who make a point of supporting live and/or independent music, it can't happen. What you guys do for all of the music you love is amazing.

As one who doesn't live in New Orleans nor do I get to see many of my favorite Nola musicians in my area it gives me a way to directly support the musicians and keep the music alive.

Threadhead Records remains the single most exciting opportunity I've had in a very long time. Hey guys,

thanks for all the nice responses. I'm really psyched about the project and your help has been crucial for allowing me to plan the next stage of this thing.

I put clips of 2 of the tunes that we are working on up on my myspace page (myspace.com/marcstonenola, finally got with the myspace world this weekend after avoiding it for years). They are the first 2 tunes on my media player, "Lovestruck" and "Hay". "Hay" is a finished mix, "Lovestruck" is close but there are still some elements we're working on. Check 'em out and let me know what you think!
