I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a little DDBB action w/ the Brothers. Maybe Taj could sit in for a Statesboro Blues jam. Can't f'n wait!:D

I know Warren Haynes is a huge Gibbons fan. ZZ Top songs are a staple of Gov't Mule shows - Maybe Billy could join the ABB. Count on a Warren sighting at the ZZ show - no matter when it is.

I'd say there is nearly a 100% chance that Gov't Mule will be in town as well. Derek Trucks band too.

Since trucks and tedeschi have little ones, we might see her around the FG with the kids.

I friggin LOVE Warren Haynes!! I was so disappointed last summer when we went to their show in Detroit and he had a family emergency and didn't play :( This is the act I am MOST excited about for fest this year....this and the New Orleans Social Club :)

How come the ABB isn't on the front page with all the other musiicans?

To be honest, I don't think ABB is the same without Dickie Betts. The last couple of times I saw them post-Dickie, they didn't perform any of the material where he had the sole writing credit, a product of their acrimonious split I'm sure. Not saying that Dereck Trucks isn't a great musician, he is, but I miss the days with Dickie. You never knew what shape he would be in, that was hit or miss, but when he was "on" you were in for a memorable night.

Not all the headliners are included in that slide show -- no Taj Mahal, no Lucinda Williams, no Joss Stone. So I doubt that no ABB is any kind of slight or anything.

I will agree to a point with you on that, steeleye. Dickie when he wasn't so blitzed he couldn't function would give you performances you read about. I think Derek is really starting to come full on into his own and with my man Warren-the heir apparent to the JB moniker "the hardest working man is show business"-I will not miss that performance.
Chuck Leavell I am almost positive will sit in-they have played together on and off when they can for the last few Allmans tours.
Funkjunkie-i hope we may see Susan get on stage with the brothers.
She is from just south of Boston, and I have followed her career for some time now. Just a great musician-she joined one of the post-Jerry incarnations of the Dead and really held her own.

with warren and dereck trucks they have been a bit more jammy and psychedelic... reminds me more of the 70's allman's. that's cool by me!
stilll think it is a shame about dickie betts though... drinking problem or no, he rocks! and, is greg allman the one to be throwing stones at ANYONE about excessive partying????
