Cards fan I guess, eh Bob? I actually don't have a big rooting interest but guess I am leaning for the Mets (not a big LaRussa fan). Amazing play though!

That's why I love baseball. I'm a Cubbie fan first, Cards second, which means most every year pulling for the Cards.
Should be a good series. I must choose wisely.
And it comes down to b00bs, of course. corona or saturnwreck for showing theirs versus calypso and jada showing those. I guess I win no matta what.

Well, as much as I dislike NY teams, I have to say that was one of the best series I have seen in a few years in the NL. Congrats, Cards and go Tigers!

WHOOPS! still trying to figure out how to use this thing!
I could not believe my eyes last night! What a great treat for St. Louis, so sorry to you Mets fans! I was becoming faint of heart and figured the mets were going to walk off with it in a home game...so much for my ability to forecast baseball. I still can't believe it - we're going to the World Series!!!! WOO HOO! If the cards win the world series I may have to flash breambob!!!

That Chavez catch was THE most exciting play I have ever seen in the post-season. Had the Mets gone on to win, it would go down in history as one of the best post-season plays ever. It still may.

So Amy, can you fill us in on the whole boobs to baseball connection? I mean I really like both, but I have rarely had the opportunity to mix the two. Maybe this can help :p

Hahaha, you've got to ask the oinkers! We've got 2 sets of threadhead boobs near Detroit and 3 in St. Louis, the scale is tipping in favor of the Cards! I mean, I like boobs and all, but I'm going to make my decision based on graphics :p

Well, I pondered this for a bit, and this is the conclusion I have reached. I am rooting for Detroit....but it was a close call. I'm a Yankee fan, and Detroit beat us. Many folks root for the team that beats their team, so I could do that. Plus, if not that, they are in the AL, and folks said the AL was so much stronger this year than the NL, that could be a reason to root for them.
But, I HATE Kenny Rogers (the Tiger, not the singer, well, I don't like the singer much either, but he has never beaten the Yankees in the playoffs, so...I digress). So, I could root for the Cards. But, I really don't like Tony LaRussa, plus I can't figure out why he's wearing sunglasses in the dugout during night games (but, I'm not going to make fun of him, cause he might a degenerative eye disease that I haven't heard about and I don't wanna make the same mistake as W, so....I digress again).
I like Jim Leyland. First, just because I like him. Second, I respect the way he manages. But mostly, I love the way he managed against the Yanks. He talked to the press like gee golly, he and his team was just lucky to have the privelge to be playing baseball against such a great team as the Yankees. He took humble and understatement to a new level. Meanwhile, you know he was telling his team that they were good, and that if they played well, they could kick the Yankees ass. And they did.
And, for the most part, the person who gets the most longterm recognition for winning the World Series is the manager.
So, I am rooting for Detroit. The reason being that my dislike of Tony LaRussa overrides my hate of Kenny Rogers.
Whew, I'm going to the bar to calm down......

But of course, despite all of that pondering and rationale, boobs could completely affect my choice!

I love Kenny Rogers. You've got to know when to hold em . . . Know when to fold em . . . Know when to walk away . . . And know when to run . . . My first record in fact.
I say just follow the boobs, really simplifies things, and let's be honest, that's what guys do anyway! ;)
Well Amy, I guess you should stick with the Tigers b/c Kate is more of a computer expert than I. ;) That's OK, I still love ya and at least I have Mac on my side.

I can honestly say that I've always followed the boobs...It's sort of a mission statement....I don't know where that's gotten me, other than smothered in boobs...which isn't really a bad place to be now that I think about it...mmm, boobs....

All well, I suppose, but in the World Series boobs are a sideshow. Hell, they don't even have micro-boobed cheerleaders in MLB like college football.
So I guess I'll just have to settle for some great baseball, boobs or not. But I do have a special sock in a private place for the Cards, it worked for me last night.

Very nice, Kate! Very nice! In '84 it was "Bless you, Boys!," but since it's a rematch of the '68 series, let's bring back "Go Get 'Em, Tigers!

Did someone say better graphic? This is my favorite Tigers logo, used from '61 to '93 when Mr. Hockeytown dumped it for a cartoon tiger entwined in the Olde English D. Happened about the same time he dumped the greatest of the remaining Golden Era stadiums for an amusement park with a baseball diamond in the middle.
What? No, I'm not bitter, why do you ask?
