New web site and myspace that lists New Orleans musicians playing in or around New York City. I'm currently running the myspace page, so go over and add us as a friend if you're a member. Love seeing some of the lesser known New Orleans musicians outisde N.O. like Big Sam, Eric Lindell, etc...

You are crazy about CW jazzy! That is Thursday and they are talking about Friday. You must be getting very excited about that week-end. Have you decided what to do about Galactic on Friday?
Great myspace hogan! Jambase has a great listing but will always check myspace as well. Thanks.

Hi blue! Yeah, unfortunately, we are going to go to Galactic on Sat night. It would have been tough to pull off after Cowboy Mouth on Thursday, specially now that we are going to the private pre-show thanks to abibyrd and blumie! Might see if I am up for the late show of Shemekia Copeland at the Turning Point Friday to round out the triple header.

sounds like fun mangoon. I'm stupid enough to be going to work on Friday, so I don't know that I would be able to then get back in for Galactic.
I'll start a thread next week for a T-head meet up before Galactic.

Hey Mangoon--
FYI- If you don't mind road trips, Dumpsta Funk and Cowboy Mouth are plaing at HOB in AC on Feb. 2nd.
Me? I like road trips and Jon Cleary on Fed 17th sounds like a great reason to spend some money on gas. Any one able to tell me What the Lion's Den is like?

latida, lions den is a typical nola club dark and small, we were there a couple weeks ago for terrance simien, then big sam. same nite separate admissions. few seats, they served food but id pass...crowded up front but room in the back. the stage was at the opposite end of the door. ill be there for cleary and will be at bbkings for cowboy mouth. ill have on one of the TH patry shirts so come by and say hi

Check out Terrance Simien's schedule on pollstar.com. He's playing in NYC on June 21. He also has two other NYC-area dates scheduled: June 2 at the Towne Crier in Pawling, and a date at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, which I don't see on Pollstar but which Terrance assures me is a done deal.

I love your semi-weekly mailing. I take it and add other gigs from the voice, various artist websites and e-mails. I'd love to be able to send these to you so you can add them to your e-mail -- you get most of them, but there are some I'm able to find. Let me know if you'd like me to feed you additions at jordanh at Traiana dot com.
Again, thanks for your list.
