So, today begins three days of Comfest (short for Community Festival) here in Columbus. It's a nice moderately-sized festival promoting community involvement and making positive changes in the world. It's in a beautiful downtown park, big on the hippy vibe, lots of jambands and patchouli in the air. There's a nice jazz stage though, so I can pretend I'm at JF if I close my eyes and let the sun warm my face for a while.
I like this quote from the festival program summarizing the spirit of Comfest:
"ComFest tries hard to keep it simple. Stick to your fundamental principles.
Behave as if the rest of the universe is as important as you are. Clean up after yourself. Respect others. Take care of the weak and the sick. Those with power and money are not inherently better or more deserving than anyone else. Don’t be afraid to push back. Remember to laugh and dance. Don’t wait to act; do it yourself, with friends, and incredible things
develop. Right here, right now. We won’t always get what we want, but little by little we’ll all get more of what we need."
And what inherently says "make a positive inmpact on the world"? Why, naked breasts in public, of course. Toplessness is smiled upon at Comfest. This next picture and text is taken directly from the festival program:

"Yes, We Like
Boobs A Lot
It’s nice to live in a city where it’s legal for women to go topless,
and even nicer to have an event like this where it feels comfortable.
The flip side of all this niceness is a resolute commitment by Community
Festival to intervene to stop any imposition on, or inappropriate
behavior toward, women who choose to go shirtless.
In other words: chill dude.
They’re just boobs."
Guess where I'll be this afternoon? :D

I need to get into the right mindset, so just least me say PEACE!
