Found these (http://www.podpads.com/what-is-a-podpad.asp) while looking at lineups for European music festivals (http://www.podpads.com/festivals.asp), they are obviously pretty popular if they have a company to set them up.
could throw these up somewhere and book our own night shows rather than wandering all over the city...

Wow! These are really pretty cool! Even a lock on the door! And they set it up and break it down for you. I didnt dig too deep, but wondering what they cost?

Those things look great, that would be my idea of festival camping.
Music Road Man I am going back to Europe to work from mid august onwards for 3 months and will have every second weekend off.Do you know of any good websites for tracking down European Blues Festivals?

There's a guy who does this now but with tents:

I like Dave A LOT. But, he doesn't do Jazz Fest, which ain't really a camping festival, anyway...
However: I am definitely going to start designing my own "pod" this weekend. :D
SWEEET! Thanks a lot, Music Road Man!!!
What a great group of people... Threadheads RULE!!!
Those are a great idea! Also solves the problem of how to bring camping gear to a fest you must fly to.
There is a place down the road from me that makes those little wooden storage sheds for your back yard. They built them on their lot and put them on a truck with a sod forklift, then drop it off exactly where you want it. i'm sure these are similar with just a few modifications. I really think some american fests should start using these! CFF?

Be sure you get the big one with the men's and women's restrooms. You know, the one they call 'Two pees in a pod'.

LOL...good one Stax!
As a few of us Threadheads are follically challenged and make up for it through artificial means, we may need one of these just to house the rugs...toupees in a pod.

Really? Who still wears a rug? I thought Giuseppe Franco and Procede put an end to the need for that.

There's plenty of room in the trunk of the Grand Marq iffen I was gonna hide that man! I couldn't really kidnap him...he's got to much music to share/spread and to many folks to inform...

You and Danielle going to Magfest? With Voo, Bob and Tybee, you all share cooking? That's a pretty good solution if you don't want to bog down your buddies who drive in, when you're flying in...

MRM
Thanks for that info hopefully I will get to some of the events.
RE my job. This coming one may be my best European gig ever, usualy we do merch at massive events,Olympics,Rugby World Cup,Americas Cup etc and we work 12 hrs a day at least for weeks on end and stadiums and venues all blur into one after a while not to mention containers full of stock.
But this time we are doing a new motor racing format called Super League Formula which matches cars and drivers with Soccer teams. and the races are all Sat,Sun 2 weeks apart. We have a warehouse in Valencia Spain and most of the time we will be driving our van from Spain to England and back then Germany etc,and as I have no vehicle licence I will be navigating with a beer in my hand, hopefully this time it will truly be a working holiday, unless my associates find other activities for us to do as they can.Anyway heres hoping that I will get to see some music for a change.
By the way google byron bay bluesfest and check out this years lineup it was great,we had an excellent time surf in the morning then music and fun from noon till midnight for 5 days in a row.
Cheers
