Until lately I thought Stagger Lee was some a historical person, a legend, from New Orleans. But, I just saw that figure named also elsewhere, almost like a myth/sociological person.
Does any of you have any knowledge about the origin of Stagger Lee? Is there any literature about this character?

One of my favorite license plates was on a candy apple red Eldorado and it said "Stagger Lee" :-)

Jazz Fest is certainly on the table for us. Lets see how the finances go. You know, during my study days, I had almost in my pocket a six months stay at the law faculty, University of Baton Rouge. I had it all planned out, studying music besides. But, then there were some delays with the paper work, and I had to let it go. I am not sure about this question about reincarnation, but I have had a affection for N.O. music ever since I was a child......
