How close to the Rock n Bowl will this streetcar run?
The St Charles line? 1.4 miles.

The Canal Streetcar actually runs closer, about 7 blocks. I'll leave it to a local to say whether or not either walk is safe after dark.
NORTA does run a bus down Tulane (#39) that goes from downtown to right at the RnB doorstep.

In 2002 I walked from where the St Charles Streetcar finished to Rock N Bowl just after dark on my own,it wasnt so bad but I didnt enjoy a couple of spots.
When I was talking to a barmaid later on she said I was mad and made one of the door guys make sure I got a cab home.

It's about a $12 cab ride from the Quarter and well worth every penny.

I would say that the walk past Jesuit from the Canal line is the safer of the two. That being said, I would take a cab or the bus down Tulane. You can never be too safe!;) :D

From my experience I'm not sure how you could walk after a session at R'nB!

I walked from the Canal Streetcar this past JF (probably around 9pm) and I did not feel entirely comfortable. About halfway, I started wishing I had taken a cab. I wouldn't do it again.

Too much crawfish bread, eh? It does that to me too; sits in your stomach like a softball.
