So, the microsoft-owned website http://www.Live.com is looking to increase traffic, and they are currently offering cashback on ebay purchases after clicking thru their site.

Just go to http://www.Live.com and search for what you want to buy. Look for this button near the top, if you don't see it, vary your search term a bit and try again.

Cashback rate varies, but I'm currently getting offered 10%. I saw 25% earlier this afternoon. If you don't get a good rate, I don't know how to reset it, other than wait at least an hour and try again.

Click the button to get into ebay, find what you want, buy-it-now, and pay with Paypal.

What does this have to do with Jazzfest? Well, now might be a good time to stock up on those collectibles that you've been wanting. For example, one seller is currently offering several 2000 numbered posters @ $210. That's not a bad price (art4now value is $235). But if you get the 25% savings, that $210 drops to $158, which is a great price.

Don't need Jazzfest stuff? Shop for whatever.

Summary points:

Must have a Paypal account and use it for the purchase.
Must use Buy it Now
Must complete transaction within 60 minutes of clicking the link from live.com.
One rebate per session.
Max cashback $250/session.
Max of 3 sessions/rebates per account.
US residents, 18+ only.

Not bad. There's a Fats poster being offered for the "Buy it Now" price of $310, and I'm being offered 15%, which would bring it down to around $270(art4now value $285). 25% would be even sweeter; I might even consider pulling the trigger if I didn't already have two posters in tubes waiting to be framed, three already framed on my walls, and a wife who has made clear that I'm not likely to get another on the walls of the house anytime soon.

That's her way of hinting that you need to buy her a bigger house.

Rest assured that whether we buy a bigger one or add on to the one we have, I'll be getting a stipulation for a Jazz Fest shrine/wing.

We're still pissed at y'all for reversing the decades-long premium of the greenback versus the loonie. This is our way of getting back at you.

It's okay Swag, I'm used to it by now. Hell, I would have been a multi-zilliionaire on Jeopardy by now, but contestants are limited to US residents only. :>)

In all seriousness, it kind of grapples my butt a little bit because the media, the dotcoms and all of their advertisers have no problem whatsoever sending their messages and signals across the border, but when it comes to fulfilment, they back away. To give you an example, we get exactly the same TV shows as you do, but we can't watch them on the net because NBC et al has licensed them to Canadian carriers and they haven't figured out how to get paid for the advertising. The same is true for iTunes for some reason: there is a LOT of music I would love to buy, but it's just not available on the Canadian version and it won't let me open up a US account. Dumb!

Lots more Fest posters available now than last night, including 1981 and 1989. The Live website is offering me 20% now. Hmmm...mulling now...
