Has anyone made any flight/hotel reservations for the 4/23/09 - 5/4/09 timeframe? From past experience, do you think packages through Priceline, Expedia, Orbitz... will change in price between now and the end of this year?

I was thinking of booking a flight now and separately reserving a Hotel that will allow cancellation and then see if I can get a cheaper Hotel via bidding on Priceline.

Just remember, the flight you book today could have noting to do with the flight you might actually take.

As far as hotels, your strategy makes sense - get a backup now, and wait for the good deals later.
