Seeing that we don't have a "Lagniappe" section for misc. threads, I'm posting this here....
This company is running a contest to help restore lighthouses....the Canal Lighthouse on the Lakefront is in the running. If you have the time, please vote...

Voted sweetie! I do hear ya about the "Lagniappe" area in the Main Category. Something like this needs a better home than down here. Never as many views.

I just voted 6 times. It broke my heart when we passed that way & the lighthouse was still broken down after 2 years, but they've taken it away now, to try to restore it..
