Does the board look weird to you?

Mine is all boxed up in the window....and you can't cut and paste threads anymore for sending via email. When you click refresh it takes you back to the homepage...what's up with that? Is it just me? I dont like it....please FD if it's not just me, can't we have it the way it was before?

With you Corona...have exactly the same problem with refreshing. Needs a bit of tweaking, but it sorta looks nice (think they might have rushed it all a bit!).

You can still get a direct URL link to the thread by right-clicking on the page and choosing properties (in IE) and copying/pasting from there.

For example, this one is http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/showthread.php?t=676.

Do you not go straight to the bored or do you go to the home page every time you come and visit?

The home page doesn't feel like the home page, but it sure did need a facelift and they've done that big time.

Instead of refreshing (sounds like a bloody cigarette advert from the 70s) just hit 'Today's Posts'. It does the same thing and nothing weird happens.

My one complaint about the bored- i cant post from my pocket pc. The site wont display for some reason.

I just emailed Festydave about some of the issues, and he replied right away. He's still working out some glitches, and is aware of the chat issues.

I agree Corona. The forum is shoing up in a smaller box on my screen, and it can't be expanded. Much smaller reading area. Hopefully Festy Dave can fix it!

Yes, corona, it does seem to have a "charming" (as the realtors would say!) quality! Feel kinda boxed in!

But, I do love the new homepage. Even if you're not in the "Everybody's Just Wild About Harry" camp, you gotta admit...what a gorgeous piece of eyecandy!!! Mmmmmm.....:)

Is you are running Firefox, you can do a right click inside the scroll box and find the option for "This Frame" and choose "Show this frame only" and the chat board will open up to regular size. You will lose the regular Jazzfest header at the top though.

I am running Netscape and the header is gone and all of the posts are larger, taking up the full screen and easier to read than before! I believe that Firefox is the same Mozilla based program. I also did not see an icon for chat anywhere on the home page, but I could have overlooked it.

Typing it in the header directly works for IE as well.

I changed my bookmark to www.nojazzfest.com/chat (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat) and get the forum without the header. I can now refresh AND copy the addys of any posts I want to email, etc.

I now have 2 bookmarks; one for the home page and one for the forum... and life is good!

Mine is bigger, too. But I have no header. I like the new bored, though. The homepage looks fabulous but I miss the slideshow of the jazzfest pix on the header. I was hoping they would get new ones for this year.

In Firefox, you just have to right-click on the page and select "Send Link" and it will insert the link in a new e-mail for quick and easy sending.

Using my old "favorites" link (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/) it looks the same as before, but if I jump to "forum" from the main jf site, it has the new JF Header and colored background with narrower text frames.

I think you may be right about "chat"link disappearing in last few days; now just has "forums" link. Also I know page looks very different with Firefox than with I.E.

The menus are fine with Firefox & IE6, but are messed up with IE7. The longer selections wrap behind the other entries, and on the food menu, only the bold headings how, not the regular selections.
