View Full Version : TH Records Logo Poll

Carolina Beadhead

Chris has asked that I post the logos that I have come up with for a vote. I can't promise that I won't tweak the logo further - thus keeping my Freakin' Tweakin' Queen title in order - but I will post the final version here if I do. :D

Well,

The one I like the most (and voted for) is currently in the lead !

(Let's just hope the Freakin' Tweakin' Queen don't mess it up too much later on... ;))

Wait, did I just say that out loud?

:D

Wow - I want to vote & choose without seeing others' responses, but I can't choose. I like several for different reasons.... most fun vs. most practical vs. most symbolic......

Hey, CBH, I like the "45 only" the best but I really like "Threadhead Records" in yellow with the bright colors on the letters. I wonder what that would look like?

I know it's not a choice but I would still like to see. :)

And let me say (are you listening, freebo?) the tweaking was instigated by Chris, not me!! :D

Edited to add: But only because he suggested it first. LOL

Great job Susan.... again!

I like a mix of 45 and 45 only. That is I like the name under the record, but also like it without the black square behind. Hell... I like everything!

If you guys are interested, I create a Threadhead Records logo from a variation on my "45" logo seen here...

Thumbs up from me for the 45 with the multi-coloured letters. Sort of like the green around the outside edge.

I'm putting on my event marketer hat and wondering if we should take into consideration that we are designing a four-colour logo. Can cost more if things (including CD covers) are going to be professionally printed or we want to embroider apparel.

Can be easily remedied by also coming up with monochrome versions...oh gosh, now that's another thing for Susan to do! :o

She did say she's was the tweak freak!

Thanks everyone! It was a team effort!

I had thought about the green border or background but decided that it might work just to have the record as a stand alone (transparent background). I'll put up some samples later when I have a minute.

VW, I'm thinking the only thing a multi-color logo would affect is silkscreening and embroidery. CD covers would most likely already be 4-color anyway. Most other things can be digitally printed and number of colors won't matter. At least, that's my logic. And I can always do a back & white version when needed. :)

The t-shirts are a great idea (I'm going to get one myself), but for a little more you can own part of a record label and support some great New Orleans musicians as well!

True. Given the logo placement, some of us will have a warped 45. (we are what we wear) ;)

45's, 33 1/3's ..... depends on cup size. Don't know if there are any 78's out there.

I saw a shirt at fest that was a 45 with that thingie you put in the middle of the record to make it fit your record player. It was way cool. This is even cooler.

i've got some 78's - just dont have anything to play them on these days.

:p

damn, you are either really old or a huge music buff to know about 78's.

to balance out my 78's, my ass is the size of a combon 8-track, tape deck, & receiver.

We had plenty of 78's when I was a kid. I guess that means my parents were old ;)
