For years, in the 80s, I would take the City of New Orleans up to Chicago for the Blues Fest. I always stayed at the Blackstone Hotel. It was the way I assuaged my post-fest blues. The train was full of fest fans drinking wine and getting loud in the club car. ;) I just loved it and would love to go back. Do they still have that awesome roasted corn? Make you drink your beer in the beergarden?

Make you drink your beer in the beergarden?

Ugh, I hope not. May have to adopt a honey bear for the trip.

Yep, I'm going!

Me too.

Hornman, you don't have to drink in a separate beer garden. You just have to buy it from the (Miller, of course) vendors. Altho there are often enterprising folks wandering around selling cans of beer out of hefty bags filled with ice. So long as the cops don't see, $1 or $2 a can is a great price.

I will definitely be there on Sunday, hopefully another day too, but there's some family issues that will be consuming that weekend, ugh.
