Someone please post about the Foundation Gala. I know at least one TH went, but I forget who. Just curious about how Little Richard's show went!

I don't know anything about the gala, but if you ever get the chance, ask Paul Sanchez to tell you the story of a movie he worked on that had Little Richard in it singing in front of a gospel choir. It's one of the funniest things I have ever heard!

We went. I loved it. I did not think that I would have that much fun watching Little Richard, but I totally loved it. He was very funny and genuinely kind to the people in the audience.
My husband's complaint was that he talked too much, but I was OK with it.
It was a sit down affair, with the foundation members and probably other VIPS occupying the tables in the front, but when Little Richard starting playing, people immediately went to the front of the stage (in front of the tables) and started dancing. They let us stay there for a little while then the security told us to go back to our tables so that the people sitting at their tables in front could see too. That didn't last long because people went right back up there and started dancing again. At one point, Little Richard invited some of the dancing ladies to come up on stage and dance. I almost got up there, but they only let a few thru. I got to do that last summer at one of Chuck Berries shows and it was a blast. Anyway, definitely glad we went to this, it was well worth it.
