It's a large hotel WITH PARKING between the French Quarter and Marigny, yet I don't believe I"ve ever seen it discussed on this bored.
Any reviews?

We've stayed there and it's a fine place. Great location. We stayed in a suite. Not sure if all the rooms are like that. The parking is a major plus too. I'd stay there again anytime.
It is where I stay. I like it. All the rooms are suites (one bedroom or two bedroom). All also have sink, stove, microwave and small fridge. It is a timeshare. Parking is convenient but not guaranteed (small indoor garage, first come first served). Now, shhhhhhh!

I hooked MD Fest up with a unit or two there a couple of years ago...I hear good things! In fact, most of the timeshares in New Orleans are excellent - the unit Linza and I had at the Quarter House was amazing: two fully equipped one-bedrooms connected by a door. I wasn't so impressed with the Club La Pension however...very disappointing compared to my last visit there.
Across Esplanade from the Mint, and a half block from the Frenchmen clubs, it's pretty much the perfect location.
If it's not discussed here, it's likely because it's primarily timeshares and tends not to pop up on most booking sites.

Thanks, everyone for the input. Sounds like a good one to pursue, although its timeshare focus may limit availability of 'regular' rooms, so we'll see.

We are there for Satchmo. Everything I have heard or seen is good.

When you say you hooked people up, what do you mean? I was trying to find a TS for our stay this year and came up empty. Can you help?

Well, there's no easy answer here...
I'm the head of the Canadian Resort Development Association, so I have some pretty great connections with both RCI and Interval. With that said, it's NEVER easy getting a condo during Fest week. I've always managed to get one or two, but it hasn't been without a lot of chewed fingernails and last minute plans along the way.
When I hooked MD up, it was the first Fest post-K, and there seemed to be a LOT of inventory out there. Interval even had some listed on their "Getaways" section, and I think that's where MD's came from. In recent years, it is back to being tough to get an exchange again...as it should.
You have to figure that most of the people who bought week 17 or 18 paid a LOT of money for it, and they were likely told that they could get lots of money for it as a rental. As such, they aren't too prone to just toss it into the exchange pool, you know? Some of the resorts even institute a "first right of refusal" on the week i.e. if you're not going to use the week you own, they have first right to put it into a rental program with you.

I hear ya. I'm an RCI Points member, so I know how hard it can be to land a TS during a peak week. Also, it seems like all of the check-in days for NOLA timeshares are Friday or Saturday. What's up with that?
Isn't there a new timeshare opening up in August on Gravier? I wonder what the avails will be like there.
