I try to do this every year. I went to the dollar store yesterday to try and replace a few items that got used up this year. For the most part, I keep a box or bag with Jazzfest stuff in it which stays virtually untouched all year. Sometimes I'll grab something out to take a festival or outdoor event. Anyway, if you used up your emergency ponchos or tablecloths or other staple that doesn't need to be bought near festtime, go to the store now before you forget about it. Most things are easier to find in the summertime, and they're on your mind now.

I was the beneficiary of Stax's resourcefulness...as we were gabbing near the beer tent, it started to rain and I mentioned having left my poncho behind. He presented me with one on the spot, and it saved the day!

While my sneakers never recovered, and will have to be thrown because due to mold, my cell phone, money, and watch stayed dry.

I think I ruined a brand new pair of new balance, jaypee. Silly me. I had the old ones back in the room.

A plastic shower curtain.

We lay it down under a ground cloth, to prevent moisture seeping up from the wet (stanky) Fair Grounds.

I think it got left behind this year.

While a huge-ass tarp would also work nicely... (I saw more than a few in use this year.) That's just too much to add to our already robust Fest gear.

In a pinch, use that extra poncho as a water barrier. That is, if yer not giving away to a needy Threadhead during a shower. :)
