Favorite food at Fest, or favorite food outside Fest?

Ok, here's where I jump ship. Even though I've never had Heb's crawfish bread, it is pretty much my favorite thing to get at JF and I like it better than the piggy poboy. So I can only imagine this is much better than that. And since Heb makes it with love, it gets my vote! :D

Whew, I guess I am glad in some ways that Crawfish Monica didn't advance, the decision would have killed me!

Well I am probably going (somewhat) quietly down with ship this time. The real food fight may be over...but still...Geaux Cochon

And we thank you for your service to the cause in the last round!

I've never had Heb's bread either...and I prefer the crawfish strudel over the crawfish bread at fest anyway. Because that booth was kinda out of the way in Heritage Square until last year...I don't think it got the coverage it deserves.

So it's easier for me to stay with me po boys in this round. Besides if I flipped flopped now, people would talk.

Mich, it was a worthy cause and a lot of fun.

However, I just noticed that the Crawfish Bread is only up by one. Do I need to start posting pictures again?

Well maybe you can run from us cochon voters, but you cannot hide. Except for the occasional vegan, who would turn down sweet roasted suckling fork tender pork flesh in a roll with shredded cabbage and special sauce?? Hard to believe, but there are people who don't like crawfish. Just as I found out in an earlier round that there are also people who don't like crab because it is too crunchy.

Mich, congrats on the pig win last round...it was great fun. But if the pig wins this round, there needs to be an investigation....

I agree with earlier poster...you really need to be working for a real life campaign...

Yes Mich, but look at all this delicious melted cheese and succulent spicy crawfish tails baked in this fresh, warm baked bread. Mmmmmmm.

Can you smell what Heb's cooking?

I'm sorry Cap'n, but I will have to abstain from this vote. They are two of the best foods in Nola and I cannot, nay, will not choose.
Now if it were fest's version of CFB, there would be no problem.

Thanks....it was fun. I posted one last comic on the 3B thread, if you didn't catch it.

It may be odd for someone who lives three hundred fifty miles inland, but I have a craving for seafood at almost every meal. But I gotsa stay with my team now. This is sorta like the Saints in the third quarter against da bearsz.

Permission to go ashore.

I agree. At least the last time I ate the fest bread, I thought "More Crawfish". I hear that isn't a problem with David's version.

I'm still in stitches over the "I'll take two" picture, where did you find it? Those people in it look a long lost tribe that I might belong to.

Yup, I've been so spoiled by HeBeJamn's bread I can't handle the disappointment of the Fest's bread. I think this is how Poker feels about the Fest's crawfish monica.

xactly. I make CFM at home, though I jazz it up considerably. Fest's is bland & un-fresh to me...

Look, pork instead of crawfish winning the food category is like non-fest items that somebody was complaining about beating out fest items. I could understand, say, if this was a mid-west festival pork winning, but this is New Orleans!! C'mon crawfish!!

Oh no...It is well know that Louisiana Cuisine does things to and with pigs that you find no else in the country. For example, there is a sausage made primarily of fresh PIGS BLOOD, boudin noir, that is as cajun and distinct (outside of France) as anything made with crawfish.

And then there is one Cajun sausage made with both Piggie Blood AND Crawfish...Boudin Rouge. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudin)

Gotta be honest here. The pig po-boy is great, but I can make it myself at home anytime, just as good as at JF. I would never have the courage to do what David does, and it would never be as good. I think we need a 'jamn booth at Jazz Fest, now that would beat all :)
