The concert of James Cotton's in the Blues tent on Saturday was incredible. Can anyone tell me how to find who was playing the Gibson and who was playing the Fender. Those guitarists were awesome.

Cotton has always been known for having one of the best bands in the business. The members are: Slam Allen, guitar, vocals; Tom Holland, guitar, vocals; Noel Neal, bass; Kenny Neal, Jr., drums; and, of course, Superharp, James Cotton. His eyes light up when he talks about his band, "My audience always tells me how I'm doing. If I look out there and don't like what I see, I work harder." His audiences are still on their feet, they enjoy themselves as much as he does, and there are still standing ovations night after night. You will have a memorable evening with an international treasure and a true Living Legend of the Blues.

Thanks for the info. That performance by James Cotton and band was one of the most memorable for me. The slinger on the Gibson made his guitar talk like BB King and the guitarist on the strat combined the best of clapton and srv. And I have rarely seen two guys complement each other as well. And of course James Cotton was unbelieveable.
Thanks again for the info and the link.

you lucky tiger you.... missin' that set was my biggest regret of the 1st weekend....
i blame it on the wet stuff,.. both the distilled type and that which fell from the sky... they both conspired to change things jus' a lil'... did half of cleary,.. then ova' to the eddie bo set,.. then a lil' side trip to laugh some with bobby lounge,.. and then the plan called for cotton time,.. but something happened... i realized i left my honey bear in a cooler up front with some peeps who were set up to watch all of dr. john... don't usually leave momma bear alone like that,.. suddenly got all worried like thinkin' that the peeps who were keepin' her cool might bail because of weather,.. so we set off to go rescue her... afta' zig zaggin' up front we ended up laughin' and dancin' for the rest of the duration with dr. john and completely missed out on the cotton experience... :( but that became front row for billy joel so turn that frown upside down... :)
caught cotton and his incredible talents many a time,.. but that was 30 some odd years ago in conn/mass,.. and haven't seen them but once since..... i'm seriously pained that i missed this most recent chance....:(
so very glad that those of you made it to that set came away happy...
