By now, even in NOLA, I'm sure everyone has heard about Hannah Montana's mis-step. (I myself, even with an 8 year old baby soul who adores HM, don't see what the big deal was.....but I digress.....) This article in Vanity Fair was of much more interest to this JF Fan.......Ozomatli gets a HUGE shout out!

lol, good article, csoul!
Chicklet is 8 yrs. old too and everything is Hannah Montana. I didn't think the shot was that bad, either. She's so cute!
I loved the azzhole quote, too. :D

There were points here and there I didn't care for (did she have to mention twice her admission is comped), but overall it's a great article in a national publication that reaches out to non-regulars. Is this just in the on-line edition or is it in print also?
Who's Hannah Montana? ;)

Well, we all have 'em ya' know! I really thought the whole HM thing was REALLY overblown. They did a whole segment on it on the TODAY show this morning. All I could think was that it must be a REALLY slow news day.....'um gas prices at record highs, starving children in Africa.....STILL.......homeless folks right there in NOLA?????? But no, the big story was Hannah Montana wrapped up in a sheet!
Who is this person? Should I give a rat's ass about this?

Well, the thread was posted to show an article in Vanity Fair about JF......if you read it, it was a glowing report mostly about Ozmotli's performance there on Saturday. The aside was that there was another story in Vanity Fair that is getting alot of, IMHO, un-necessary press this morning.

The Jazz Fest piece in Vanity Fair seemed a bit random. The writer (who is he?) apparently is a JF newbie, as he mentions his "first impression of Jazz Fest." Disappointing that the mag would send a rookie to cover (IMO) the best music festival in the U.S. Then again, VF isn't really known for its music criticism.
