Hi there,
Since there seem to be several of us coming down to JF with babies and children, I think we should form a support group... I mean, meetup! :)
I'll suggest the following:
4/30 - 5:30 p.m. at Lafayette Square (specifically, corner of North Maestri & St. Charles)
5/1 - Ingrid's Bash (I'm sure we'll just run into each other).
Post here if you're up for either, so we know who to look for! Also, if you have other suggestions for other days, post those, too!

Hey, hope this worked out! Not our year for 2nd weekend I'm afraid -- Natalie was having trouble breathing and we ended up in the pediatric icu where she's having iv steroid treatment for a few days. Bummed we missed meeting the other babies!

Amy,
So sorry Natalie had to make a trip to the hospital. It was great meeting you, Jeff and his sister, and of coarse little Natalie.
I hope everything is well now and Natilie is feeling much better.

Oh yeah, at least a couple of years! She's doing much better, but they're keeping her in ICU at least one more night. Have to change our flights home that were for early a.m. tomorrow!

Glad she's doing better Amy and you, Jeff and Nat get home safely...hope she is getting the best of care. I changed flights and flew home yesterday as daughter number one went into a Crohn's disease crisis, so we're off to the hospital for IV antibiotics and potential surgery. She's 23 so no matter their age, little girls (and boys) are a priority. Hugs to you three....:)

Lieutenant Day-an! ;) Thank you for the good karma, it was a relief to get home as this was brewing all week long, many phone calls and a lot of worry. Even kept me from getting to Rosetreefest II.....:(
She's on oral antibiotics as of late yesterday so we didn't need to be at the hospital today as she wasn't feeling any worse but we have an appointment with her gastro guy (very cute Jewish fella!) at 8 am tomorrow, and I have a hunch there's a hospital stay coming up. We are new at managing Crohn's and this is her first experience with a significant infection and a potential perforation that will need healing. Hope the rest of your fest was fantastic!

I'm sure that she is glad that you are back home...like you said, our children are our priorities!
I'm sorry too that you couldn't make it to Rosetreefest. I know that you were excited to see all of my new work. I knew that something was wrong when I didn't see you...:(
