WVUE news interviewed Mitch Landrieu, who says attendance was up to pre-thing levels. And Quint points out that last year hotels were at 75% capacity but this year at 90%.
(Of course if they all had the 39 dollar special, it would be 100%)

Not surprising...the line-up is great this year. Next weekend is going to be a blow-out. I can't wait. I feel bad for the first weekend crowd with all of this w-e-t s-t-u-f-f, but, it goes with the territory and most of the time we luck out. We needed this w-a-t-e-r bad...I'm tired of having to water my creole tomatoes every night, but, I wish the m-o-i-s-t-u-r-e would have come during the week and not on the weekend. The Fest, like many things in New Orleans, are finally getting back to normal. As a local, this is good to see. Have fun ya'll!!
