Fellow Threadheads, I am back home after experiencing the best 1-day JazzFest marathon in history! It sucks that the trip had to be so short, but I enjoyed every single minute of it, and you guys were responsible for a huge part of that!
I can still taste the coffee, Kahlua and beignets (Jersey!), and the gumbo (Swag!) Oh and the giant bowling-ball sized cream puff! LOL
I can still hear the great music, I'm still humming Iko, Iko, and my feet are still tapping. I assume this 'affliction' will wear off at some point, but I hope it takes its sweet time!
Mama Roux, you ROCK! Thanks so much, girl! I will be putting something together for ya. Shoot me an email later.
My Dancin Olive! I soo appreciate your offer to help me linger in NOLA an extra day....that's another example of the Threadhead brother/sisterhood! Just couldnt make it work. :( But you were sweet to try.
You guys are GRAND! I loved meeting you all, and you made me feel like a member of a big giant, crazy fun-loving family!
I WILL make sure that next year I will be there the WHOLE TIME! Kisses and hugs to the whole damn bunch of you!!

I'm jealous, Bluesbaby. I want to be treated like that when I come.
Though I am bringing a friend, like my stepdad, from Florida who has not been to New Orleans to enjoy its attributes. Though he was born in raised in AL and FL. I just had to tell him we were going to some concerts and he was game. So I've got to play tour guide, but need a tour guide. I know north of the lake area, and NO touristy spots...Cafe duMonde, Garden district, Tulane, BTR but not the places you fun threadheads hang out.

Anyone know the place where we're staying and the neighborhood? Americas Best Inns at 2820 Tulane Ave, apx 1.5 m from fairground. I've stayed at their other properties and they've been ok. Great value for not being in the room much.

Janice - You gave back as much as you got. It was a lot of fun meeting you. Dinner was great, and Howling Wolfe would have not been fun without you and NYMAMA (and Mr. NYMAMA).
I had a package of LRBC stuff I wanted to give you, but I left it in the hotel. Bummer.

You bet I will. NOLA is my adopted home town, so I cannot stay away for too long! It was a treat meeting you, too, Rosie. I have my new beautiful glass fleur de lis on my coffee table, and it looks gorgeous! Thank you for such a scrumptuous work of art!
Good selling for the rest of fest, and don't forget to leave the booth sometimes for a little partying!
