Finally, JazzFest is here. It feels like getting ready to go to the once-a-year family reunion. I can't wait to get 'home' and be able to hang out with my 'family'.

Know what ya mean. Found my staff looking at me today and muttering, then I realized that I had this huge grin. Boy were they worried.

Sometimes the best family is the one you pick!!! Tends to be a lot less work & a lot more fun than the one you get ;)

Have you read any of his mystery novels? One of my favorites is the one about the guy who was trying to kill Willie Nelson.

Oooh! You should see if you can get one to read on the train! You can order them online thru his website, but I don't know if they'd arrive in time for your trip. He ships promptly, though.

Yeah, so, maybe it's just me, but I get a TOTALLY different feeling in the weeks/months leading up to a family gathering than the one I get leading up to Jazzfest. I haven't met 99% of the folks on this board, but I'd trade several of my family members for ya'll, sight unseen, in a HEARTBEAT!!!!!! I'm jealous of you if your family reunions are as much fun as JF! MINE, SOOOO, ARE NOT!
