View Full Version : Adding attachments and icons to posts

I am not as computer savvy as I'd like, and I was hesitant about asking....but I've got to. Where does one find all those cool attachments that most of you are attaching to your posts and messages? I'm starting to feel self-conscious because my posts are just plain old type. I DO know how to play with the fonts and colors....I think....but is there a site to find all these icons and animated features that a lot of you are using? I suppose if I would just read the FAQ in detail and check out how to navigate and use this board I might find out how....but as usual, I'm kinda lazy reading instructions and computer stuff. Well, there.....I finally asked!:confused:

Here is an example of a site with lots of little graphics that you can use as your avatar -- there are lots of pages of them.

You need to save them to your own webspace, such as a free Photobucket account, and then you can link them to here.
Bryan did a set of instructions on the bored somewhere -- I will try to find it and bump it up for you.

KWB...there are prolly as many different sites to get cool stuff as there are threadheads...and some threadheads are able to make their own stuff...so you just gotta put a little effort and surf around and find what you want. Google "animation" and you'll find all kinds of sites that will allow you to download free avatars, animations, etc, even software to make your own animations.

Thank you very much Saturn and Dumbtourist! Avatars.....couldn't think of that word! Wow....so much to choose from. Had no idea about the Photobucket site, or anything like that....so glad I asked. I also noticed the thread started by Corona asking about attachments...posted mine before reading all the new threads. Thanks everyone for your help!;)

Bruce, do a Google search for whatever subject of image you want- but then click the "Images" link above the search box instead of the Search" button. You'll be amazed at what you will find.
