Does Gambit put each weekend's "Picks" for the fest online?
Can't remember which day the paper comes out with the Picks? Sunday?
I'm not sure what I'm going to see in between Voice of the Wetlands and Elvis Costello/Al Green. Anyone know anything about Calle 13 (from Puerto Rico)?
Anyone seen Davell Crawford's R&B Orchestra?
Thanks!

I have been told Tuesday, but I don't really believe that. I will call them tomorrow and see if that is really going to happen.

many thanx win....
no real interest here in that plant/krauss set,.. but the rest of the rec's that day could easliy make somebody a very happybody if they could squeeze the rest in... here we go again with that two places (3-4 places) at one time need.... foms away....................................
as for barbara lynn..........
"In a just world, Barbara Lynn would have been a major star.
After all, what other African-American woman in the early 1960s, barely out of her teens, not only sang with rich and affecting soul, but also wrote her own hit songs, and was a sharp, facile guitarist, playing left-handed no less? Perhaps Lynn's formidable talents may have been just a bit ahead of that time. But the good news is that Lynn has re-emerged in recent years to claim her rightful place as the Empress of Gulf Coast Soul. That fact is evident on her debut album for Antone's Records, Hot Night Tonight. On it, Lynn strikes the perfect balance between her deep R&B roots and a contemporary appeal, proving musical gifts to be timeless. The album was produced by Don Smith, whose many credits include producing acts like John Hiatt, The Tragically Hip and Cracker, and engineering and mixing albums by The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, U2, Keith Richards and The Traveling Wilburys. For the sessions, Smith matched Lynn with a unique mix of stellar players: young soul lions like Ivan Neville, Charley Drayton and Bernard Fowler, and rockers Davey Faragher and David Immerglueck."

ya' gotta think ivan neville will be present and accounted for when ms. lynn takes the stage....

Mamadou is the man!! Especially if Bala Kouyaté is with him on balafon. and Baye Kouyaté is on talking drum. Even if Mamadou is all alone, this is a can't miss act, worth recommending twice.
For that gambit, I will trade for a certain DVD I have yet to burn.
