In deciding which of the two JF weekends I would attend (unfortunately, I can't do both), I picked the first weekend mostly because Jon Cleary was on the schedule.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that he removed the Jazz Fest date from his mySpace page.

Today, I found this on his site:

CLEARY HEADS DOWN UNDER WITH BONNIE RAITT
JC will be back on keys with the Bonnie Raitt band for a tour of Australia in April 2007. Check Bonnie's site for details as the dates are confirmed.

There are no dates yet on Bonnie's page and Ticketmaster International doesn't have anything listed either.

I'll be very sad if he misses the festival because of the tour with Bonnie.

I guess we'll know for sure when the schedule comes out....but I thought I'd throw this out if anyone was interested.

Cleary is booked for crawfish fest in June so who knows. There are breaks in tours so you never know about Jazzfest.

I see that Bonnie Raitt is booked for the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Australia on April 9th, 2007. But that doesn't mean she will still be there at the end of April.

Taj Mahal is also booked for that and he is appearing at fest.

Maybe, but a lot of artists already have fest up on their websites (see the grids -- rumors, that's where most of those came from) and no one has appaarently asked them to take them down . . . We'll see in just six short days!!

I just checked Pollstar -- there are NO listings for individual artists for Jazzfest at all.

Yall remember earlier this fest season NOJHF had pollstar remove a couple names.
