I didn't at first, but I like it much better now. For one thing, it isn't necessary to spend hours bumping threads.

I compare the old bored to this one in the same way I compare the old Boston Garden to the Fleetcenter/TD Banknorth Garden (or whatever the hell they will call it five minutes from now)
The garden had its charm-during the hockey playoffs it would fog up because of no air conditioning, the rats from the train station would come in and scare visiting fans, the seats that you almost had to sit sideways in, drunk and obnoxious fans (oh wait they are still there) but the new garden has all kinds of bells and whistles that make it enjoyable (albeit more expensive) to attend the games there-too bad the product on the ice/parquet isn't as good as the garden days.
But I digress, yes I like this one better but do have some fond memories of the old one-hey maybe we could rename this bored hmmmm..The LMF Jazzfest Chat Bored.

I think I understand what he means. I felt that a little too at the beginning but after I learned to navigate it and found all the cool, snazzy new features I liked it a lot. I will say the old one holds a special place in my heart cuz that's how I found all these cool people and made new friends. Lots of fun memories on the old bored.
But new ones await us on this one! :D

The boards I really miss the most are the old purple Pet de Kat Krewe board and the OffBeat board -- both were just one continuous real-time stream-of-consciousness thread -- no subjects, no titles, kinda just like chatting.

I have two words: Ignore button When the freaky deaky trolls get revved up over here, you can just hit ignore.

Troll management has been much much better.
Plus remember the old board crashing all the time and how long it took to load?

Yes, it is much easier to rid the scum on this board. Love it! All we need is love on this board!

YYR, Amy and IBjamn. Troll activity is very minimal.
The first real test of this bored may just be on Thursday, if that is actually the day the announcement is made, as the previous record for users is 121. I don't think there will be any issue though.

Well, being a newbie to this Bored - I can say that there is indeed a bit of a learning curve, but I like learning new things.
I do miss the familiarity of the old boreds, but I have great memories of them and the friendship of all of you to ease the transition.
I do very much enjoy (as a I.T./Tech professional) the enhanced capabilitites of this Bored however . . . LOVE being able to post photos directly in the posts, that ROCKS! :D
