Hi Everyone,
First of all, thanks for all of your kind comments and your interest in my New Orleans art! Painting New Orleans continues to be a labor of love for me.
This Saturday my husband (who is so supportive) and I will be leaving for New Orleans again to take photos and just to experience it all over again. This time I will be showing a collection of paintings at the Command Alkon Customer Conference. Command Alkon has featured some of my images in their advertising, and they have generously invited us to be a part of this event. Any of you who live in New Orleans are more than welcome to stop at my booth at the Riverside Hilton. Just email me for particulars.
My New Orleans publisher, Steve Tujague, has just published my third limited edition lithograph entitled "Royal Street Revival." He is now taking orders and they should be ready to ship the end of this month. These prints, along with many other New Orleans artists' work, are available at: http://store.geauxtigersart.com/orneworpa.html (http://store.geauxtigersart.com/orneworpa.html)
Steve is dedicated to the revival and rebirth of New Orleans.
New Orleans' determination to overcome adversity and preserve her heritage is known the world over. The American Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan will be using one of my paintings, "Jazz in the Big Easy," for promoting their Fourth of July Celebration. Their theme is American Spirit, Renewal & Hope. They will also be giving one of my originals to the Guest of Honor, their host country.
We are really looking forward to this trip, especially going to Jazz Fest where we hope to meet up with "The Thread Heads." They are an on-line Jazz Fest club comprised mostly of people like myself who don't live in New Orleans, but are dedicated to the aid to New Orleans musicians and to the preservation of Jazz Fest. They volunteer their time as workers and sponsor a Charity Raffle that benefits NOMC and "Fest 4 Kidz." You can check this group out

Well, back to painting, and packing too! Be sure to check out my website in May. I will have lots of new paintings!
Special thanks to all of you who purchased my paintings, making it possible to make my small contribution to The New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. I owe New Orleans so much!
Diane
