I've been seeing this ad on tv alot lately (yahoo), but who is the singer/trumpet player that's featured? I know I should know, and it's bugging me.

I love that new "My Louisiana" commercial that Terrance Simien is in... and I really love the fact that my kids call me when they saw it! MOM...TERRANCE has a Louisiana Commercial! ... it makes me proud to be their mama!

That's Jeremy Davenport. I road my bike by as they were shooting some of that on Royal Street.

I also noticed Craig Klein of Bonerama and Uncle Lionel as the Grand Marshall of the parade. I think that's Bob French on the drums.

I don't know if I was in a strange moode when I saw the commercial, but it struck me as exceptionally white -- it kind of made me feel uneasy. Am I just being hyper-sensitive?

I agree, Jordan. All the chefs... most of the musicians... the crowd... maybe has to do with the demographic they are trying to attract with the ad...? Anyway, I prefer the one from a few years ago with Ingrid & Irvin & Shorty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbxB9NdY__c

Good eye! I noticed Craig but not Uncle Lionel or Bob French. Will watch again.

i think i used to see Jeremy Davenport at one of the little Ritz Carlton clubs? he's really good....this is when i know nothing about new orleans...i'd never even heard of frenchmen street...ah...so long ago....
