Uncle Sam just took most of the $ I had planned to spend @ JazzFest. Definitely have to "Fest on a budget" this year.:(

I hope you're staying at one of those places with the free breakfast. One year I lived on complimentary danish and po'boys from the party store across the street. You just have to spirit several extras away in the morning and then make sure housekeeping doesn't toss them out.:cool:

New Orleans native here...
what you do is file for an extension on April 15th and worry about paying the
taxes and penalties IF we make it thru hurricane season :--)
Seriously though... nearly everyone I know here has not even filed our 2005 taxes yet.. much less 06 07.....
just the whole MESS we have been living with for so long now

You should have $600 coming in a few weeks, right? I know we're counting on ours to pay the JF bills. We figure if W won't give money to NOLA, we'll do it for him!

Belle, not sure if I've asked before but, I'm trying to figure out where you live in the Old Dominion state. I grew up farther south than you in Harrisonburg.

Stephenson just NE of Winchester on the West VA border and Clarke County. Live on the Opequon Creek.
Harrisonburg is really changing these days. Good college town...needs more music venues as most of the Valley does. I was trying to get our college bound son to go to Bridgewater but he is playing football further south on I-81.

Same Old Dominion Conference but at Emory & Henry majoring in Political Science and Public Policy. He plays Defensive End.

My sentiments exactly. Thanks for the offer phatpops. Its gonna be a little different not goin balls to the wall, but its still gonna be a damn good trip fo sho!!
Although I dislike W a lot, the ex mrs. fessphan is to blame for my tax problems this year. Whatcha gonna do? Divorce sucks, but Sanity has its price.
