Last year they announced it on February 1st. And in 2005 it was January 31st. That's when the e-mail went out.

I had the pleasure of sneaking a peek at the poster--cant tell you how, I dont want anyone to get in to trouble, but the artist is a beloved LA great, and the poster is wonderful--miles above the previous few years' posters, imho. It is not derivative of any other dead artist's style, but an exhuberant original (as are all of the other artist's works). I think people will be mightily pleased.

The artist is the same one who did the "blue" Neville Bros.in 1997... Francis Pavy... Right?;)
