Oh I guess it was OK when they railroaded Economy Hall out of the brackets, just to watch the "winner" get run over by Fais Do Do (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/showthread.php?t=560). And the fact that the number #1 seed Gospel Tent might lose to (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/showthread.php?t=559)a stage with no name, well Martha, Irma, Allan and the Doucet Boys have been known to show up there, so that's alright I guess. And then there's something they call "The Patsy" hitting the LMF In-store shows in the mouth. (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/showthread.php?t=572) Ok, like most people, I've never been to a Patsy, so maybe it's just sour grapes.
But now it's time to talk smack...
Cause they're making the King of Jazz Fest Treats: The Soft-Shell Crab Po Boy fight for it's batter-fried life against a styrofoam cup of overcooked pasta, cheese wiz and mud-bugs (get this...they're gonna ship the left-overs to New Jersey (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/showthread.php?t=449)).
Look you wanna git me a crawfish etouffee omelet for breakfast, like at Mothers on Fridays...K! That's good eatin!...Maybe you brought me some Crawfish Boudin or Crawfish Spinach Zucchini Bisque? M-m-m-good!. But you give me soggy macaroni and cheese and sprinkle in left-overs from yesterday's boil...that's kiddie food...WHAT SUPPLEMENTALS YOU BEEN DOING? I want the REAL DEAL, the sandwich that every year ALL the local critics rank as THE NUMBER ONE REASON TO ARRIVE HUNGRY AT THE GATES.
Cause when the gates open first Friday, be sure that some of the pasta-in-a-cup crowd will be knocking each other down to get to the poster booth (when they could of ordered on-line.) And others fans of the goopity goop will be stampeding to claim their turf (complete with NO TREPASSING signs) in the front of Acura, or maybe to slam down a half a dozen lounge chairs chained together in the space where people wanna dance at Fais Do Do.
But the real connoisseurs, the Jazz Fest hipsters and gourmets, we (and you of course) will be making our way over to the best damn food booth in the land (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i193/Michelino/avatars/AnimationSoftshellandMe03.gif)...cause it ain't busy yet...you can just get your tickets and turn em right in for 10 bites of heaven...(Sure the catfish also looks good, maybe wait until after you've had another spider though)
So if you haven't voted...do it now (http://www.nojazzfest.com/chat/showthread.php?t=574). And then wake your friend or lover and tell them to vote (they were probably dreaming of a Spider Sandwich anyway!).
This one's for real....America is counting on you and IT'S TIME WE STAND UP AND SAY...THEY CAN'T TAKE OUR SOFT-SHELL CRAB PO BOY AWAY!!!!
http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i193/Michelino/Misc/SoftshellEatsMonicaStar5.gif

Michelino, you had me at hello.
You're preaching to the choir on this one. I made sure I voted for the spider sammich first thing. Pasta in a cup? Please. I'll have what you're having. ; )
Seriously, I like the Crawfish Monica there okay but I know I can make it much better at home.

Never really cared for the crawfish monica myself. The sof' shell sammich is #2, howevah...right behind the pheasant, quail & andouille gumbo (which just so happens to be the next booth ovah...just down a few booths from the rosemint iced tea. heaven in just a few sq. yards.

Consider it just one small patriotic voice...BTW Have you seen the size of the pasta-in-a-cup booth? Last year, I was over there twice (getting samples for quality testing purposes only), it was so huge that it had gobbled up the Fried Turkey Po Boy booth. No more of a little taste of Thanksgiving in May ...And what will they take away next to feed that maw...Crawfish Strudel? Maybe also the White Chocolate Bread Pudding with Lemon Sauce, only the finest dessert booth at any fair in the world. Is there no end to the madness?

Mic, according to Quint, the 'missing' booth's last year will be back this year, so long as those companies still exist...

There's so many Monica’s involved with that one sentence, it's making my head spin. Let me say that I intended this campaign to be a strictly bipartisan schmear. But now that the forces of darkness have taken the lead...we need more of this kind of innuendo...or any other tactic that you think might work.

The Spider Sammich nazi
I wasn't going to mention it...but while doing research, I found the origin of the goopity goop. Seems like the original version consisting of milk, macaroni and large bugs was created by some guy in the 1920s. His last name was Schickelgruber.
