Hey Festy Dave,
Since y'all are trying to be socially conscious with the recycling thing, here's another request: how about posting warnings at the gate that amplified music is harmful to the still-developing ears of babies. It's sad seeing parents who bring babies and very young children to the fest but don't protect their ears, especially when they're right in front of the speakers. It's almost like being in front of a jet engine.
* 50 decibels: Rainfall
* 60-70 decibels: Normal conversation, at a distance of 3 to 5 feet
* 90 decibels: A train whistle at 500 feet
* 94 decibels: An average Walkman set at half its peak volume
* 107 decibels: A power mower
* 120-140 decibels: Amplified music at a concert, at a distance of 4 to 6 feet
* 140 decibels: A jet engine
Seriously Threadheads--if any of you are toting little ones, pack the ear plugs!
