There are tons of them!
My top pick is Congo Rhythms Fest, which is listed as Sept 26-28, but when I emailed Scott Aiges this week, he said it might be changed to Oct. 4. Last year, we had Mardi gras Indians in abundance, Big Sam, Dumpstaphunk, world music and dancing, secondlining and more at Congo Square!

The musical families series sounds awesome, as do the displays in the foundation's galleries.

Check it out here: http://www.jazzandheritage.org/nojhf_eventsMain.php

Being a teacher, this one caught my eye:
05/13/2008
Time: 7:00PM to 9:30PM
Location: Jazz & Heritage Gallery
Address: 1205 North Rampart Street New Orleans, LA 70116
Event Website: http://www.jazzandheritage.org
Admission: FREE
Event Description: Tom Dent Congo Square Lecture: Michael White on Teaching Kids Life Lessons Through New Orleans Jazz

And I thought of you, Mightyrad. :D

Doesn't show anything but fest around that time, papa. Well, except several shows at various places by the heritage school of music kids.

i'm sure lots of posters here just got the Friends of the Fest email from the foundation - actually 2 of them. not sure if then 2nd is a duplicate for an update. anyway part of it reads:
New this year is a special lounge area at the Fair Grounds exclusively for Fans of the Fest, located in our Foundation Pavilion.
and you can link to:
https://www.jazzandheritage.org/nojhf_fansOfTheFest.php

so what does this special lounge area include for the $35 members?
