With the downturn in the economy (really hearting our small business) , the college tuition bills, braces, gas and such has me being more careful than in recent years.

What did we earn last year? I thought the goal was doubled or something like that?

Since there has to be a prize the winners get to choice 10 shows from a list of shows on 2 of my hard drives. These will include things I am getting now and if the winner waits a few weeks after fest some wwoz fest shows.

Please help the raffle and the good causes it supports. I continue to be amazed and humbled by all the UNPAID work and time given by the people involved with the Raffle and the Patry. Thanks to them and those of you who donate , give and bid.

Just as a little incentive, of the 193 different Prizes available in the raffle (not including the multiple lots available in many prizes), as of Wednesday there were 110 Prizes that have had less than 10 raffle tickets purchased, and there were 63 prizes that have had less than 5 raffle tickets purchased!!

In a long weekend out here, you can visit the nation's first National Park, Yellowstone, as well as Grand Teton National Park. The local ski area, Grand Targhee has a couple great music festivals slated for this summer that one could use the weekend during. Targhee Fest July 18-20 has announced its initial headliners (Emmylou Harris, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi as Soul Stew Revival, Taj Mahal Trio, Lyle Lovett and his big band, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) and the Targhee Bluegrass Festival Aug 8-10 (Sam Bush Band, Blue Highway, Abigail Washburn & the Sparrow Quartet featuring Bela Fleck with Casey Driessen & Ben Solle, Jeff Austin & Friends (from Yonder Mountain String Band)). River Rim Ranch is the title sponsor for Targhee Fest, so we can probably hook up tickets for both festivals for the prize winner!!

There is also fishing, hiking, golf, camping, rafting, and more in the summer, and winter brings skiing, snowmobiling, and staying warm in front of the fire!! Most importantly, Amy, Natalie, and I will make sure you have a great trip out by helping make arrangements for activities.
