Jt, where the heck you been?
Did you go see the Rads at B.B's? They are playing this Friday at Mexicali in Teaneck, NJ as well.

When is the last time the Rads were on a poster?

I loved the avatar at first and then it took me forever to get the darned thing up there. Dumbtourist helped me for over two hours. He then figured it out. I thought it was pretty appropriate since it had us both bloody pissed off trying to get it up there!!!

Hey Tangle-Yes I did go to BB's as well as the Cutting Room. Always, always love to see the Rads. Right now I'm home recovering from surgery and am feeling a little better each day. As far as the Rads getting a Jazz Fest poster, I heard a rumor that next year (08) might be their year. Anyone know? Anyway, good to hear from you TGIB.

It would be so awesome to see the Rads on the poster for the 2008 fest. It will also be their 30th anniversary of playing together as a band in 2008 so it seems very appropriate! :)

Hey Now In my opinion, I feel the Radiators have earned the honor of being able to play a double time slot at one of the stages. The powers that be have done this for Widespread Panic a couple of different times, and certainly the Rads deserve the chance as well. Three hours would be perfect for a band that has spread the music and magic that is New Orleans as far and wide as have the mighty Radiators!!! Matthew

Tangled - the new avatar musta been a pain in the a$$ to load....but it's a good idea....like what you were goin' for there.....

let's face it - your avatars are generally the best given the animation etc.

Thank you to whoever started this thread! This topic was just being
discussed on the band's HeatGen list the other day.

Voice your opinion, email or tell Quint how important this is to you and the band's many fans in New Orleans and beyond!

Festy Dave, can you pass along our sentiments to the appropriate people?

The Rads most definitely deserve the honor of inclusion on next years Jazzfest Poster. Next year will mark "30 Years Of Fishhead Music" and said music has changed the lives of countless music junkies, not least of all, mine. Long live NOLA, Long live Jazzfest and Long Live The Radiators!

Hi Neen, Goose (Cindy) here. I'm pretty new to posting on the board but have been reading it for a long time. I know Candy Girl through the Radiators. She has become a good friend of mine and my boyfriend. I told her the other day how I started posting on the board and she mentioned that she knows several threadheads and your name came up. My boyfriend and I are going to be at the Threadhead Patry (our first one!) and we look forward to meeting you and the other Threadheads! :)

I am a displaced FishHead (Pacific Northwest) who feels the Radiators should have been on the Jazz Fest posters as long as they have played there!

How many years have they closed down the Fest?

PLEASE GIVE THEM THE HONOR THEY DESERVE

great idea dude! i just used my sales techniques...i called the number on the info contact on this website and i asked them for someone in charge and told them why i was calling...they said i will pass you to a voice mail and i refused saying i need to speak with a live person...lo and behold i got passed to a live person who claimed she was quint's assistant (her name MAY have been, er, ellen). anyway she was familiar with the rads and saw them at tipitina's last friday and was aware of the mom's ball party they have for mardi gras on last saturday...i just filled her in on this 30th anniv. info and their cruise they are planning for next year and let her know how i felt that the boyz deserve their due! she agreed with me and told me she would pass the work on to quint. so you just call and ask! there is no email contact by the way...only phone numbers so let's get down to a little lobbying!

Neen - You gotta check Eric Lindell out for sure! I saw him Saturday night
and enjoyed it more than I anticipated. His band is super funky and very danceable. I'll be going WED to MON 2nd weekend! Sorry to miss the Patry. I had already bought my airline ticket. If a Patry ticket surfaces and the stars align, I may consider coming in early for it. :) I see my friend Goose introduced herself. :)

MrSpot - Glad you made it over here and posted! :) As I said on the HeatGen, I'm with ya on the lobbying effort. Too bad there isn't a public email to be used. between this board and the calls into Quint's office, we should get our voice heard.

Great idea about contacting Art4Now. Were they receptive when they talked to you?

I truly agree with Goose's post a couple of days ago. The Rads should definitely be on this poster and it would be well-deserved. You don't last 30 years and become an icon of the city without some recognition nationwide and worldwide.

Don't stall on this. Place them on the poster.
