I saw Randall Bramblett at WMNF's Birthday Bash in '06. And I've been listening to him since I was in high school--he was a member of Sea Level, which was formed by most of the Allman Brothers Band in the late '70s.
Gonna be at the TB Blues Fest?

Bramblett has got some serious talent... have loved his bands sound from 1st hear.....
plannin' on both fri. and sat. for tampa (i.e st. pete).... very much lookin' forward to james hunter,.. and lucky petterson should prove to be a good time too... love crays sound but his lyrical content has neva' done much for me... we'll probably be rockin' by then so the silly words won't matta' much... and who can't help but look forward to tab and t-shorty on sat... puttin' shorty on stage to start the day is hard to figure though...
check this out: "Lucky Peterson played his first gig at age three. By the time he was five, he had already recorded his first single, produced by none other than the legendary Willie Dixon. Before Lucky turned six, his career had been propelled into the national spotlight with television appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and even What’s My Line?"....
As a teen, Peterson studied at the Buffalo (his home town) Academy of Performing Arts. There, he played the French horn with the school symphony. Soon, he was playing backup guitar and keyboards for Etta James, Bobby "Blue" Bland, and Little Milton.
In the mid 90's Peterson collaborated with Mavis Staples on a tribute to gospel singer Mahalia Jackson, called Spirituals & Gospel. Peterson played electric organ behind Staples' singing."
That production was one of five he put together for the verve label and was recorded in Louisiana,.. but the reviews weren't all that hot for the spiritual attempt,.. and the buyin' publics reception was rather cool i guess... the 44 year old peterson has certainly seen and done his fair share though....

Bren and I caught a ride on La Bomba as it came by and rode to the end of the parade route. Then hung with Freebo and friends until the Clydesdales came by. He said you were there but we missed you.
