When I get to feeling that way, an org*sm (or six) a day helps keep the pre-Fest anxiety away. Mainly because I haven't figured out the precise calculation necessary to manipulate the space-time continuum to speed up time prior to Fest and slow it down once it gets here. Of course, the former is so much fun that I haven't been putting too much effort into the latter...:D

i never completely unpack my jazzfest 'toy box'. that's the rubbermaid containter with all the misc stuff in it. it occassionally gets raided for other outings so i have to inventory and restock such items as $1 ponchos, and replace the grids, etc.

today i'm going to find out how much my shorts shrunk over the winter.

Big stuff all handled, plane tix, rezzies at Chez Rooney, mini van rental, brass passes (um, though we provided a fed ex number and haven't received them), fest parking figured out, threadhead and associated tshirts, patry tix, raffle prizes in a box, and have been fest clothes shopping for the whole family . . . But haven't even begun to dig out the chairs, fest bag & associated goodies, flags, etc., plus this year strollers and all of Natalie's extra gear . . . New bag restrictions on airlines, etc . . .

I had a little practice round on Friday. With moe. and PBS both playing in town. Saw a set and a half of moe., which was awesome. Then pulled myself away to go catch the last hour or so of PBS. Taylor Hicks was singing with PBS when I walked in - pretty funny. Any way a great way to get me in the mood for the big fest.

That's what I was afraid of too. I had bad plantar fascitis a few years back, they actually wound up having to put my lower leg in a cast to finally make it go away, after exercises and steroid shots didn't work. But for some reason this style of Keen's seems to be working good so far. Fest will be the real test.

No I don't think so..he is doing a retreat in Joisey next weekend...clear his mind so he is spiritually ready for the holy land of NOLA ;) but that is like going to your boss's boss's boss house...as much as it could be an event it still would be work related (my words not his, he prolly would love to take it in)

We are starting at Cafe Dumont and I am going to have my coffee (did I mention a while back - SPIKED thank you) and beignets ( and yes I'm gonna eat every crumb and get totally covered in powdered sugar and look like some kinda crazy crack addict. Its a NOLA tradition. (smile) LOL Then we're off to Liussas to meet the rest of the bloody mary drinkers. And I think I speak for Jersey cutie as well, when I say, the more the merrier!! WOW, its nearly here!!

Black helicopters have been seen over the Causeway and on the Northshore!! They were flying low, then banked a left and disappeared in the blink of any eye - very creepy! They were undoubtedly practicing their Jazz Fest flyover formations.
